It started just one teacher to teach the subject. The only full-time teacher Shri Om Prakash Khadka along with Smt. Senty C Marak, a part-time teacher who joined a few years later served the college till it was taken over by the government on 18th February 2009.
Initially the department offered the subject at both the Higher Secondary (+2) and Under Graduate level catering to the learning needs of thousands of students. However, after the introduction of Semester System in 2015 and De-linking of Higher Secondary (+2) section, the department limited itself with Undergraduate classes only.
