About the Department
The Department of Political Science, Williamnagar Government College (then Williamnagar College) came into being in the year 2000. BA-1st batch (Pass Course) started in the year 2000, with only two faculties. Since the commencement of Semester system in the year 2015, the Department of Political Science is upgraded to Honours course along with the subject combination of History, Education, Garo and Economics as elective subjects. Environmental Studies and General English subject are compulsory for all the students. The entire course comprises of six semesters for a period of three years. At present, the Department has five faculty members and all are hardworking and dedicated.

To encourage students to work hard and get good marks in the subject.
To develop a sense of civic responsibilities among the students.
Mission:
To inspire students to pursue masters in Political Science.
To Develop Political Leadership with the sense of social commitment after the completion of their studies
