The Department of English was created with the establishment of Williamnagar College in the year 2000 and subsequently with the provincialization of Williamnagar Government College on 18th February, 2009. At present, the Department of English functions at full strength with five well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members. The Department offers B.A program with an integration of various courses following the NEHU syllabus and 6 semester system. The Department is committed to foster knowledge and love for literature and English Language in the students and help them develop their ability to use English Literature in their studies and endeavors.

To provide the students with the best quality education in English Literature and contribute to the wider community of researches and projects.
To promote both hard and soft skills in students thereby also developing their emotional skills.
